Privacy policy

Effective November 1, 2026

This policy explains what Slately Studios (“we”) collects when you use slatelystudios.com, why we collect it, who else sees it, and how long it is kept.

What we collect

  • Messages you send through our form: your name, email, phone number if you give it, and your message. The form also asks how you heard about us.
  • Where your visit started, when you send the form: the first page you opened here, the site that sent you, and any campaign tags in the link you followed (for example, the link on a printed card). This tells us which cards and links bring people in.
  • What you share when you call, text or email us.
  • How you use this site: the pages you visit, how far you scroll, how long a page is on screen, and which buttons you tap, such as call, email and book. This comes with your browser and device type, screen size, the site or campaign link that sent you, and an approximate location (about city level) worked out from your IP address. “Analytics” below names the tools that collect it.
  • Technical information: like every website, ours receives your IP address, browser type and the pages you visit, so it can deliver the site and protect it.

We do not take payments on this site. When you book online, you do it in Calendly, which handles that information under its own privacy policy.

How we use it

  • To reply to you, and to book and provide our services.
  • To keep this site working and secure.
  • To see which pages, links and printed cards bring people in, and where the site is hard to use, so we can fix it.

We do not sell your personal information. We turned off the advertising features of Google Analytics for this site, so its data is not used to show you ads.

Who else sees it

  • Cloudflare hosts this site and handles its traffic. See the Cloudflare privacy policy.
  • Web3Forms delivers form messages to our email. It keeps a copy of each message on its servers, which may be outside the United States, for up to three years unless we delete it sooner. It checks messages for spam with services such as Akismet and CleanTalk, which receive your IP address and email. See the Web3Forms privacy policy.
  • hCaptcha checks that a person, not a bot, is sending the form. It collects information about your device and how you use the page. See the hCaptcha privacy policy.
  • Calendly runs our online booking, under its own privacy policy. It may set its own cookies when you open it.

We may also share information when the law requires it.

Analytics

  • Cloudflare Web Analytics counts visits: the page, the site that sent you, your browser, device type and country, and how fast the page loaded. It uses no cookies, does not identify you, and does not follow you to other sites.
  • Microsoft Clarity records how visitors use the site, as a replay of each visit (mouse movements, taps, clicks and scrolling) and as heatmaps. We set it to mask all text on the page, so the words you read and type are hidden in recordings. It sets cookies on this site, _clck (kept up to a year) and _clsk (kept a day), to tell one visit from the next, and Microsoft may set its own cookies. See the Microsoft privacy statement.
  • Google Analytics 4 counts visits and the actions listed above. It sets cookies on this site, _ga and one starting with ga (each kept up to two years), to recognize a returning browser. Google Analytics does not store IP addresses. Google Signals is on: if you are signed in to Google and allow ads personalization in your Google account, Google can count your visits from different devices together in our reports. See how Google uses information from sites that use its services.

If your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal, this site does not load these analytics tools (except Cloudflare Web Analytics, which uses no cookies).

Tracking across sites

We do not track you across other websites. The third-party tools named above may collect information about your activity on this site over time, and some may link it with what they know from other sites, under their own policies.

How long we keep it

  • Messages and requests: only as long as we need them to reply to you, provide our services and keep business records. Then we delete them.
  • Microsoft Clarity: recordings for 30 days, and heatmaps and summary reports for up to 13 months.
  • Google Analytics: visit-level data for 2 months. Reports built from it, which do not identify you, are kept longer.
  • Our own visit log: a daily copy of the reports above, with one line per visit (how it started, city, device type, pages, time spent and buttons tapped, and the form’s how-you-heard answer), for 90 days. It never holds your name, email or phone number. Daily totals with no visit details are kept longer.

Your choices

You can ask us to show you, correct or delete what you have sent us. Call (619) 204-1752 or email hello@slatelystudios.com.
